The only thing dependable about information on music venues’ websites is that the information is not dependable.— Josh Mock (@JoshMock) February 7, 2013
Netflix, Rdio, Spotify, Facebook, Hulu, YouTube - all these things are built well and lots of people spend time on them. Hell, people pay money to some of them.
Indie venue websites are usually atrocious, lacking even basic info, rarely...

Laura Snapes: When Zach Hill was interviewed about Death Grips for this site, he said, "We're people who aren't ruled by money." It made me think about the actual realism of Death Grips' financial well-being. You can't live off nothing.
Marnie Stern: That's true. When you are 20, you don't care if you sleep on the floor and don't have anything. But when you start to think about things like having a family, you think: "I can't do that if I wanna keep doing this." I don't mean to lay it out as a sacrifice-- like I have to choose music or a family-- but in some ways that is true, at least financially.

“Then I met up with Munky, who I hadn’t seen in seven years, and talked with him for 30 minutes. It was really heavy. Then, 10 minutes before they went onstage, [bassist] Fieldy is like, ‘I’m just saying, we have a guitar set up for you.’ I’m like, ‘What? I just want to see you guys! All right, I’ll play ‘Blind.’ It was just crazy,...

Loudwire: What can you tell me about where you guys are at with the progression of the new album and maybe a possible timeline or when fans can get a single?
